Example:

A residence valued at $219,000 has an assessed value of $20,805. If it is located in tax district 0150, it then has a tax amount of $1,549.97

219,000 x 9.5% = 20,805
20,805 x .07450 = $1,549.97

When figuring the tax amount, the decimal point in the mill levy is moved 3 places to the left.
